A senior data professional passionate about transforming raw data into meaningful insights and optimized architectures.

With over a decade of experience in data engineering, I’ve led and executed enterprise-scale data platforms, working at the intersection of Hadoop ecosystems, Hive optimization, and cloud modern data warehouses. My core strength lies in architecting performance-oriented pipelines, resolving production bottlenecks, and creating long-lasting validation frameworks that ensure trust in data.

Core Focus Areas

In the CDP 7.1.9 implementation, I architected and managed external Hive tables using the Parquet format at scale. I optimized complex Hive queries to improve performance and reduce costs, while also addressing production issues like column shifts, multiple active SCD records, and expired key handling. I built robust data validation frameworks leveraging natural keys and hashing logic, and created reusable SCD Type 1 and Type 2 strategies for both dimension and lookup layers.

As part of the GCP migration, I led the transition from Teradata and Hadoop to BigQuery. This included source-to-target mapping, data model redesign, and orchestration using Airflow (Composer) and Control-M. I developed scalable ingestion pipelines with Dataflow and ensured smooth production cutovers. Collaborating closely with US-based client teams, I helped shape the cloud architecture, align KPIs, and fine-tune post-migration performance, delivering a cost-effective and scalable cloud-native platform.

By combining deep platform knowledge with cross-functional collaboration, I’ve been able to help businesses trust their data, accelerate performance, and reduce operational inefficiencies. Whether it’s Hadoop or the cloud, I aim to build systems that are robust, resilient, and future-ready.

I’m currently working as a Sr. Tech Project Manager at Smartavya Pvt. LTD, where I architect and drive enterprise-scale data modernization initiatives using both Cloudera Data Platform and Google Cloud Platform.

With deep expertise in big data engineering, I focus on transforming legacy platforms into scalable, cloud-native solutions while ensuring performance, accuracy, and maintainability across the board
